- New Rules and Info

The registration is going smoothly, we got the page up yesterday so if you haven't registered yet then go do it. Also, if you have any friends or know of people that would enjoy an event such as this, tell them to visit the web page. We also setup a little irc channel called #cla on efnet so if you have any questions or comments you will probably getting a faster reply through that. Finally, several people have addressed concerns about speakers being present at the LAN and we, the organizers, have come to the conclusion that speakers will not be allowed. - CLA Emerges Once Again

Hello all. Well, it has been a while since CLA has been active, but we are back and ready to get things going. First of all, I would like to appologize for the short notice on the upcoming LAN, but this is all we could manage due to some conflicts. Now that everyone is set to go, we are looking forward to pHbALANCED pHEST III, which should have a great turn out. - CLA's Makever Madness!

Well, CLA now stands tall and proud, it has lauched off the ground quiet well and has drawn a much larger crowd to the lan parties. It has now split from `NeXuS` Technologies, allowing both sides to grow in thier own field of profession. So break out you're best nail pollish and fix up that hair, cuz CLA is in the hizouse! Since pHbALANCED pHEST was such a great turn out, wez are bringin it back for a second round of good beatings and bruises. So prepare yourself for double tha rompin, double the stompin, and double the crowd. Hope to see you all soon. - synicain

- BUSTED!! - The night of 2/28/98

CLA steps forth with its new building, which was much nicer than expected and to our surprise it had much more in store for us. -- The mood was just right, and almost everyone expected stopped in to see the show. There were no real problems setting up the LAN, everything was running smoothly and was one of our best turnouts. The rumbling of Quake had everyone's attention and made other sounds in the building non-important, until our eyes and ears were now fixed on the doorway entrance to the room, where officer Daniels now stood with gun in hand. :] For that second, time, space, and the right to LAN, were non-existant. (time 5:17am) We were now prime targets and suspects related to the mysterious triggering of the security alarm. Everyone was baffled by the new guest, which had began to question our very existance. To my surprise, everyone was calm and handled the situation very well, even though we were being placed in a situation which we had no control. At first we were not asked to leave as the security officer roamed the building in hopes to find the "cleaning lady", which could have triggered the alarm, but we were the only people there. (Is this Pizza Hut's attempt to get us back for scamming them?, wasn't my doings) ;)
Officer Daniel's attitude was not threatening, in fact, he was very cool about the whole thing, even though he did have to escort us out of the building. Not only that, but he gave us 15 minutes to do it in (doh!). Now we had to break everything down and rip the network apart and load up, always a fun part. ;) To make a long story even longer, Officer Daniels approached us as we were loading up the last of the computers and he explained that we were allowed to stay due to some misunderstanding. heh.. We only hope our next LAN is exciting as this one was. As everyone knows, a party isn't good unless the cops show up! :] Hope to see everyone in MARCH. Latez.. - synicain

- Update, schmupdate..

OMG.. look I updated the page!! woohoo! and for all of you that have been naggin me to get it done -> :P    there take that! With any new year, it brings new ideas n such which led to the recent building search (a regular meeting place) for CLA/`NeXuS`. Well I have come across a building which can seat around 200 and can provide us with all that we could need. It still isn't for certain yet, but rumor has it that we will be having a LAN there at the end of the month or at the beginning of Feb. =] In other words we should get to use the building for free, once a month. If this plan works out, we will have one toward the end of every month. That way all of you job working ppl can request off a month in advance =]
On another note: Hopefully by the end of the month, if some ppl help out, I should have the page done!! woooOoo! Latez.. - synicain
